Adedoyin was born in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria, on 1 January 1957. He attended the University of Ibadan, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. He later obtained a Master of Science degree in Education from the University of Lagos. Adedoyin began his career as a teacher in the Nigerian education system. He later moved into the private sector, where he established the Rahmon Adedoyin Group. He has also served as a board member of several companies, including the Nigerian Stock Exchange. Adedoyin is a philanthropist and has established the Rahmon Adedoyin Foundation to provide educational opportunities to underprivileged children in Nigeria. He is also a member of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group and the Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce. Adedoyin is married and has four children.

In a bid to revamp education in Nigeria, Rahmon founded The Polytechnic, Ile-Ife in 1984 and Oduduwa University in 2009. He is a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Industrial Statisticians.
Rahmon Adegoke was born into the royal family of the Akui ruling house in the ancient city of Ife in Osun State, where he went on to complete his primary and secondary school education. He proceeded to the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in 1983 after studying Mathematics Education. He also attended Centurion International University, California where he obtained his master's degree and went on to bag a doctorate degree in 1996 from All Saints University School of Medicine, New York City.
